Creating Safe, Confident, and Happy Horses

The first thing almost every person says when they ride with us is how relaxed and happy our horses are.

They walk on a loose rein.
They don’t rush.
And they genuinely enjoy their job.

Most of them go in bitless bridles. They’re soft, balanced, and responsive — not because we micromanage every step, but because they’ve been taught to think, not react.

They don’t spook at plastic bags, barking dogs, strollers, motorcycles, or even semis flying by. They cross water, go over bridges, and handle tough terrain like it’s nothing. If you’ve seen our Instagram videos, you know what we mean.

We get these results through a consistent, thoughtful, and real-world approach — no gimmicks. Just good horsemanship, proven systems, and hundreds of miles in the saddle. We document every training session with your horse so you know that you are getting quality work and your horse isn't just standing in someone else's barn.

🔹 Our Training Programs

We offer two options for horses depending on where they are in their training:

1. Monthly Green Horse Training

💲 $1,800/month

This program builds the foundation every good horse needs. Perfect for green horses or those that need to become soft, respectful, and confident under saddle. After a few months in this program, your horse will either be ready for the 300 Mile Bootcamp — or ready to go home as a calm, rideable partner.

📍 Includes:

  • Daily groundwork and arena riding

  • Exposure to working equitation obstacles and jumps

  • Light trail rides for confidence

  • Classical dressage fundamentals

  • Individualized pace and attention

⏳ Timeline: Expect 3 months for totally green horses. Some may progress faster.

🔐 Requirements:

  • Must be completely sound

  • Any history of dangerous behavior must be disclosed

  • Suspected pain-related issues (e.g., bucking) will require a vet check

2. 300 Mile Bootcamp – Our Signature Program

💲 $4,500 total

Over 4–8 weeks, we’ll put 300 trail miles on your horse across Southern California. We trailer out to ride in the desert, mountains, city, rivers, and more. Your horse gets exposed to everything — and becomes safe, confident, and a joy to ride.

📍 Includes:

  • 300 miles across around 20 real-world trail rides (10–20 miles each)

  • Full desensitization: cars, dogs, bikes, bridges, cattle, noise

  • Fitness, stamina, and real mental development

  • Video documentation + mileage tracking

  • Schooling on soft contact, smooth transitions, consistent rhythm, and responsiveness to the slightest cues

🐎 Results:
✅ Loose rein walk/trot/canter
✅ Trail safe alone or in groups
✅ Soft, relaxed, and confident
✅ Ready for real adventures

⏳ Timeline: Usually 4–6 weeks (varies by fitness level)

🔐 Requirements:

  • Must already be broke to ride

  • Must be completely sound

  • Shod on all 4 hooves (with pads preferred)

  • Current on vaccines and deworming

  • Behavioral issues must be disclosed — some may need groundwork before entering bootcamp

💬 So Why Not Just 100 Miles?

🔹 Why 300 Miles?

Anyone can take a horse on a few short trail rides and say it’s “trail trained.” But short rides don’t create dependable horses. They don’t change behavior. They don’t develop a mindset.

We’ve found that 300 miles is the sweet spot — the point where the changes we made to your horse become permanent.

Here’s why it works:

🧠 Behavioral reset (Miles 1–100)

The first few rides are about letting go of old habits.
This is when horses act out — rearing, jigging, bucking, balking, trying to turn back. We don’t shut them down — we let them work it out on the trail, the way nature intended.
They figure out that the best option is to keep moving forward.

🎓 Real training & body control (Miles 100–200)

Once the fireworks settle, we start shaping the ride. We mix up pace — long trots, controlled canters, walk breaks. Transitions, circles, hills, water crossings. Horses learn how to stay soft, responsive, and balanced — even when they’re tired.
They develop true work ethic, not just obedience.

🔁 Retention and proofing (Miles 200–300)

This is the part most programs skip. We keep riding — in new places, with different horses, across all types of terrain. That’s where we lock it all in.
By mile 300, your horse knows the drill. They’re consistent, relaxed, and confident — no matter the day, footing, or setting.

💬 So Why Not Just 100 Miles?

Because at 100 miles, horses are just getting started. You may see some progress, but bad habits can come back fast. They’re still mentally checking out, still testing you, still unsure how to carry themselves.

At 300 miles, it’s ingrained.

  • They’ve learned to conserve energy instead of wasting it

  • They’ve handled various situations and kept their cool

  • They’ve found rhythm and joy in the work

  • And they’ve built the muscle and mindset to carry a rider with confidence

This isn’t just about exposure. It’s about developing a horse that you can trust, in any situation, for years to come.

🐴 Why Our Program Works

Unlike barns that ride the same trail loop every day, we actually travel with your horse. We ride in the mountains one day, the desert the next. Bridges, water, hills, city noise — every ride is different.

Your horse will learn to cope, adjust, and stay soft through all of it.

We document your horse’s journey, so you can see the transformation — from first ride to finished product.

🏡 Our Facilities

Your horse will live and train at our ranch in Palmdale, CA, where we offer:

  • A large sand arena with excellent footing

  • Full working equitation obstacle course

  • Jumping equipment

  • Access to wide-open spaces and natural terrain
