About our memberships

Horses require regularity and commitment. If you want to become a confident rider who truly understands their horse, you have to ride at least a few times a month. If you want to be competitive- you have to ride a few times a week.

We designed our membership packages to help you become more consistent. We have a large number of horses that you will be working with. Some are very beginner friendly, some are much more advanced. And by advanced we don't mean green or with bad habits. Just more powerful and have more buttons that you have to know how to use.

Our approach to horsemanship puts the horses first. We believe that the main job of the rider is not to interrupt the horse. We will teach you to ride in a way that your balance and aids become synchronized with your horse and you guys start working together as a team. And once you learn how not to make things harder for the horse, we will start working on how to make them easier- for example by using your seat to engage horses hind end more.

All of our horses regularly complete twenty and thirty mile trail rides. Some of them compete in endurance on 25 and 50 mile distances. And we never had a horse get injured while being ridden. We will teach you how to ride in a way that you can go for tens of miles and come back on a healthy and happy horse that loves their job. When you go on trails with us you will notice how happy and relaxed our horses are. They truly love being ridden and we will teach you how to make any horse love working with you.

All of our lessons including ground work and horsemanship- not just riding. We want you to build a relationship with our horses and allow you to understand them.

There are a few packages that we offer, depending on your goals and time.

Available packages

Lesson package holders get 30% off destination ride packages.

  1. One lesson per week- $320 per month
If you're just getting started or the work is very busy- this is the place to start. You will come to our ranch once a week and we will work on improving your riding skills, strengthening up your body, and getting to understand horses better.
  2. Two lessons per week- $450 per month
We generally see at least three to four times quicker progress with riders who take two lessons per week vs just one. We recommend that you come on two separate days, but if you're driving from far it is ok to do them both on one day. Plan on spending a few hours at the ranch if you decide to do so. We offer a significant discount on the second lesson each week because we know how much it will help you improve.
  3. Two lessons per week plus one trail ride in Palmdale a month- $600 per month
The lessons will teach you how to ride. The trail rides will show you the why. Our trail rides is what made our ranch famous and attracted riders from far. Our horses are amazing on trails and they love going out. For the Palmdale trail ride we will saddle up horses at the ranch and ride in the desert surrounding our location. There are good stretches for trot and canter. We have to cross a few streets but our horses are used to that. Depending on your fitness level we have 5, 7, and 12 mile loops that we can do. The ride usually takes around 90 minutes.
  4. Two lessons and one trail ride in Palmdale each week- $850 per month
Now we are started to be talking some serious riding. Every week you will have two lessons and one Palmdale trail ride. If you live far, you can do both lessons and the ride on the same day (subject to our availability). But you better be ready to be sore the next day. With this much riding everybody will become a very confident rider quickly. This package will give you over 16 hours in the saddle each month at a total cost that some places in LA would charge you for four lessons.
  5. One destination ride per month- $300
Our destination rides is what we are the best known for. We have tens of locations within 30 minutes to 2 hours from the ranch where we frequently go riding. All rides are between 15 and 25 miles long. They feature scenic sceneries, various terrains, and are all uniquely different.
If you have one of our lesson packages, you can add this package to your membership to discover California in a way you have not before.
If you are not taking lessons with us, you can still subscribe to this package provided that we have ridden with you before and we know you well. If we have never ridden together before, you will have to schedule a private ride or lesson first to show us your riding skills. These are only for confident riders.
Our private rides cost between $400 and $1200 per ride. Subscribing to this program, you will get to experience all the cool locations and we will change them up so you keep riding in a different location each time.
  6. Four destination rides per month- $800
That is the ultimate explorer's bundle at the lowest cost we could possibly offer. You will explore with us and put tens of miles under your belt each month. We will alternate locations, so you get to see California the way you never imagined before. There is nobody else out there that does more trail riding than us and who would take you to destinations like we will. If you follow our instagram you know it's true. If you wanted to do this many rides with us as private rides it would cost you more than $3,000 per month. It's a great deal and we are happy to offer it because we love riding with the same people and we are building an awesome community.

FAQ

Where are you located?

Palmdale, CA.

How do I get started?

We suggest booking an an Intro Lesson. It’s the easiest way to meet us, try our horses, talk goals, and choose the right package for you. If you're ready to sign up buy a package and we will contact you with scheduling.

How do I schedule my sessions?

We will send you a link for our calendar.

What is your lesson availability?

We teach lessons Monday through Friday from 8AM until 7PM. Weekends are mainly reserved for competitions.

What is your trail ride availability?

We organize the Palmdale trail rides during the same times as available for lessons (Monday through Friday). For the destination rides, we will find times that work for all of us. Generally the destination rides will be on weekdays and we can schedule them either in the morning or in the evening. We will offer at least one weekend destination ride each month for the 4 rides package holders. Most of the trails are too packed with hikers and bikers to have a great ride on the weekends but there are exceptions.

What are the trail destinations?

We will mix things up so you can explore all destinations that you see on our Instagram. We have a few destinations that we think are the best in terms of quality of riding, and we will go to those more often than some others. But we will also give you options to explore.

Are the trail rides private or in groups?

As a part of these packages you will share rides with other amazing riders. We will only ever take riders that are fun to spend time with, treat horses well and who can keep up. We have no problem telling someone to not come on our rides again if we don't think they are a good fit. If you want to book a private ride, we offer that too. But it is more expensive.

Who are your memberships for?

Anyone who wants consistent saddle time and real progress—from first-timers to riders aiming for competition. Horses thrive on routine, and so do riders.

What’s your training philosophy?

Horse first. We teach you to stop interrupting your horse, ride in balance, and use clear, light aids. Once your seat is stable and quiet, we show you how to make the horse’s job easier.

Do lessons include groundwork?

Yes. Every lesson includes horsemanship and groundwork, not just riding. Relationship first, then refinement.

What are your horses like?

We have a large, diverse string: some very beginner-friendly, others more powerful with “more buttons.” Advanced does not mean green or problem-y—it means responsive and athletic. Most regularly complete 20–30 mile trail rides; several compete in 25–50 mile endurance.

How long are sessions?

  • Lessons: ~60 minutes (arrive a bit early if you’d like to help groom/tack).

  • Palmdale trail loops: 5, 7, or 12 miles (~90 minutes, fitness dependent).

  • Destination rides: 15–25 miles (plan for a half-day outing).

Can I stack lessons and a ride on the same day?

Yes—subject to availability. If you’re driving far, we can plan a multi-hour ranch day. Expect to be delightfully sore afterward.

Do unused sessions roll over?

No, they do not. It would be impossible for us to manage scheduling otherwise. If you have a trip or a medical/ life situation we usually try to be accommodating. But in general you have to take your lessons/ rides within the week or month (depending on the package)

What’s your ride cancellation policy?

Please give 24 hours’ notice to reschedule a lesson and 72 hour cancelation for rides. Cancellations with less than the minimum notice count as used. For destination rides, if you don't confirm that you are coming on the ride and go MIA we will not bring your horse and it will count as ride used. Always check in with us a few hours before the ride, please. It is very hard to ride with an extra horse and no rider.

Do I need my own horse or tack?

No. We provide well-fitted tack and all horses. Just bring your helmet and hydration pack (for the trail rides).

What should I wear/bring?

Closed-toe boots with a heel, long pants, sunscreen, water, and layers for wind/heat. Helmets are required (we can provide one).

Do you teach kids?

Yes. Lead-line from ~3–4, independent lessons typically 6+, depending on focus and attention span.

Is there a weight limit?

Horse welfare comes first. We have different horses with differnt weight limits. 220 lbs is maximum on our strongest horses.

How do destination rides work?

These are longer 15–25 mile adventures at stunning locations 30–120 minutes from the ranch.

  • Prerequisite: confident, balanced rider able to trot/canter in control.

  • If you’re new to us, book an intro ride/lesson so we can place you safely.

How fast are your trail rides?

We mix walk, long trot, and canter where footing allows. Horses are fit and love their job, but rider control and safety set the pace.

What about weather?

We ride year-round but may reschedule for extreme heat, high winds, smoke, or poor footing. Your safety and the horses’ well-being come first.

Group sizes?

We keep groups intentionally small for safety, quality coaching, and horse welfare. We will keep the rides under 4 riders plus the guide, but more often it will be only 2 or 3 riders.

Is it safe?

Our horses are conditioned for distance and handled daily. We teach you to ride in a way that supports the horse—so you can cover miles and come back on a happy, sound partner.

Can my friend/family watch?

Sure.

Do you compete or help riders compete?

Yes. We actively ride endurance, working equitation, jumping, and classical dressage fundamentals. We’ll map a plan to your goals.

How does billing work?

Memberships are billed monthly. You can upgrade/downgrade before your next billing date. Minimum 30 days notice is required to cancel a membership. Therefore minimum 2 months initial commitment is required for all memberships.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes: 30% off your second package when you subscribe to more than one package.
